Social Services

Provides public assistance for people with low income and other social problems. Operates Food Stamps and Medicaid, long-term care programs. Helps children through foster care, adoption and family counseling, crisis intervention programs. Investigates suspected abuse of children and aged or disabled adults. Runs "Fun 'N Learning Library", loans toys, car seats, cribs for birth to five. Day Care Center resources. Offers assistance to elderly and disabled at home and runs programs to help people prepare for new jobs ("Works First" Program) Information Referral Services . Partners with Partnership for Children, Outreach Ministries, Steps to Hope, Red Cross, Transportation and other social service organizations.
