EMS and Emergency Services
EMS has primary responsibility to deliver emergency pre-hospital advanced life support and transportation to the citizens and visitors to the county. Conducts educational programming and training. Emergency Services develops and oversees natural hazard preparedness plans, hazard mitigation plan, emergency planning, evacuation routes. Partners with FEMA, NCEM, Red Cross, Fire Departments, St. Luke's, PCTA, Polk County Communications, Thermal and Belt Amateur Radio Club.
